Maike Barton
Managing Director (LLB,GAID)
Maike Barton is an award-winning Managing Director and corporate services executive with more than 13 years’ experience leading strategy, operations, growth and organisational transformation across professional services, construction and purpose-led organisations. She is the Founder and Managing Director of Your GM, where she partners with business owners, boards and executive teams to strengthen organisational performance and turn strategic priorities into practical, measurable outcomes.
Maike’s expertise spans corporate strategy, financial and commercial management, people and culture, governance and risk, technology, marketing, workplace health and safety, and operational delivery. Her strength lies in bringing these functions together to create clear, accountable and scalable operating models, particularly for businesses navigating growth, restructuring or significant organisational change.
Maike brings a strong governance, risk and commercial lens to business management. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Southern Queensland and is currently undertaking a Master of Business at the University of Queensland, with expected completion in 2027.
Throughout her career, she has developed governance and performance frameworks, executive dashboards, financial and workforce strategies, digital transformation programmes and organisational structures designed to support sustainable growth.
In 2023, Maike was named General Manager of the Year by the Australasian Legal Practice Management Association (ALPMA) in recognition of her strategic and operational leadership. Her broader leadership experience includes serving as President of the United Nations Association of Australia Young Professionals Network in Western Australia. She has also contributed to industry thought leadership, including published work examining the impact of World Trade organisation frameworks on Australian procurement law.
Maike is particularly interested in the intersection of strategy, people, technology and execution. Her approach combines commercial discipline and data-driven decision-making with a willingness to challenge traditional operating models. She works closely with leaders to create clarity around where a business is going, build the organisational capability required to get there, and establish the systems, accountability and performance disciplines needed to make the strategy happen.

With a passion for blending best practices with psychology, Sabrina ensures that every HR initiative prioritises both organisational goals and employee well-being.
In her role as Director of HR at Your GM, Sabrina provides invaluable strategic guidance on talent management and organisational culture. Her proficiency in designing engagement surveys, facilitating 360-degree feedback programs, and building robust succession planning frameworks equips Your GM’s clients to attract, develop, and retain top-tier talent in an increasingly competitive landscape.
James Hey
Head of Information Technology
James is a highly experienced Director of a national IT business and a pivotal liaison for technology and digital transformation within the advisory board of Your GM. With a robust background in providing solutions to IT infrastructure, cloud services, and technology mobilisation, James brings a wealth of expertise in aligning technology strategies with business objectives to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
As Director of multiple entities and previous leadership roles, James has successfully overseen the implementation of bespoke ICT solutions across national and international markets. His work in providing tailored technological services, particularly within the legal and financial sectors, has positioned him as a trusted advisor to the C-suite and senior executives. He specialises in guiding businesses through the adoption of cutting-edge technology stacks, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity frameworks, and software solutions that drive both innovation and efficiency.
On the advisory board, James plays a critical role in ensuring that Your GM’s IT strategy remains future-focused and adaptive to evolving market needs. Shannon Barton
Strategic Systems and Performance Advisor

With extensive experience as a Principal Psychologist and experience in senior case management roles across Queensland and the United Kingdom, Shannon brings a wealth of knowledge in strategic system and policy reform, mental health, and community engagement. His holistic approach, informed by years of practical front-line work, allows him to deliver critical thinking and problem-solving strategies in complex environments.
With expertise in adaptive leadership, change management, strategic planning, and stakeholder coordination, Shannon ensures that organisational change is effectively implemented while maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders. His role as Principal Psychologist also includes mentoring provisional psychologists and collaborating with universities to align operational activities with educational requirements, ensuring the next generation of practitioners are well-prepared.
As a board member, Shannon can offer guidance on managing organisational transformation. His ability to navigate complex, high-stakes environments and facilitate adaptive leadership will enhance Your GM’s ability to implement change, especially in scaling businesses and navigating internal challenges. As someone experienced in governance frameworks and policy reform, Shannon can provide Your GM with oversight in its strategic direction and ensure alignment with legal and ethical standards. His input will help the board navigate complex governance issues and maintain a forward-thinking approach to decision-making

Director of Financial Strategy
Jessica ihas extensive experience as a CFO. With over 15 years driving growth, transformation, and profitability across complex, fast-paced environments.
As a CFO, Jessica combines deep financial acumen with strategic foresight- turning numbers into narratives that guide smarter decisions and sustainable results. Her expertise spans financial operations leadership, commercial analysis, strategic planning, and organisational transformation.
Before joining Your GM’s network, Jessica held CFO finance roles across construction, engineering, and professional services. She is known for her practical, data-driven approach, her ability to translate strategy into measurable financial outcomes, and her commitment to building strong, high-performing teams.

Kade’s career foundations were built in the luxury automotive sector, where he held senior Business Manager roles with leading dealership groups. In this high-profile environment, he was responsible for managing complex finance portfolios, ensuring compliance across multi-million-dollar transactions, and delivering an exceptional client experience synonymous with the Audi brand.
This grounding in precision, accountability, and high-performance service now underpins his success in real estate. Since 2019, Kade has applied the same level of professionalism and commercial acumen as a an Executive in the real estate industry.

With a background as a Senior Paralegal and Senior Legal Secretary, she brings a practical understanding of legal administration, matter management, client service and the day-to-day operational demands of professional services firms.
